1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using Post Formatter ("the Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

Post Formatter is a browser extension that provides text formatting tools, drafts management, post previews, and AI writing assistance for social media platforms including LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube, and Pinterest. The Extension converts text to Unicode characters that render as bold, italic, strikethrough, and other styles.

3. Accounts

Some features require an optional account created through Google Sign-In. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your Google account secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Extension.

4. Plans, Billing & Payments

The Extension offers free features as well as optional paid plans. Free features may be subject to usage limits. Paid plans unlock additional features and higher limits.

• Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms.
• Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (for example, monthly or yearly) and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
• Payments already made are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
• We may change plan prices or features. Price changes apply from your next billing period, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes.

5. AI Features

AI proofreading and rewriting features require you to provide your own OpenRouter API key. You are responsible for any costs charged by OpenRouter and for complying with OpenRouter's terms. Text you choose to process is sent directly to OpenRouter.

AI-generated suggestions may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing any AI output before using or publishing it. The Extension provides AI assistance "as is" and does not guarantee the quality or correctness of generated content.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the Extension in compliance with all applicable laws and the terms of service of each social media platform.
• Not use the Extension for spam, harassment, or any activity that violates the policies of the platforms you use.
• Not reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute the Extension's source code.
• Not attempt to circumvent usage limits, plan entitlements, or billing.

7. Intellectual Property

The Extension, including its code, design, and branding, is the property of Post Formatter. Unicode characters used for text styling are part of the Unicode Standard and are not proprietary to us. You retain ownership of the content you create with the Extension.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Extension is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all websites or browser versions.

Unicode-styled text may render differently depending on the platform, device, or font. We do not control how third-party platforms display Unicode characters.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Post Formatter and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Extension. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of followers or engagement, account restrictions on third-party platforms, or charges incurred with third-party services such as OpenRouter.

10. Third-Party Platforms & Services

The Extension interacts with third-party social media platforms and services. We are not affiliated with LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Meta, Bluesky, YouTube, Pinterest, Google, Stripe, OpenRouter, or any other platform. Your use of those platforms and services is governed by their respective terms.

11. Modifications

We may update the Extension or these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the Extension or this page.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it from your browser. We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue the Extension, or to terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at any time. Where you have an active paid plan, discontinuation will be handled in accordance with Section 4.
